A book is a movie in your own hands...

Summer is a wonderful season as it gives you the needed time to read as much as you need and to think as much as you want. While reading a classic of Agatha Christie ths summer I realized something inspiring and beautiful.

When reading you just read. It's almost impossible to do anything else. You are given to the book. That's the price, eh? The book lets you read its story, learn its story but it enslaves you for as long as you read it -sometimes for much more-. You get attached to the characters. A part of their problems are yours now while you have the right to steal a part of their good times. My point is that, as an experience, real reading is a much more intense one than just watching the movie. The time you spend with the book gets you closer to the spirit of the creator. Actualy you don't need to wach the movie as millions more pictures comes to your mind making your vivid imagination a director and a viewer at the same time. All this stuff are known to every avid fun of literature.
However, nobody thinks another advantage of a book over a movie. A book can be taken to every place. Its magic never ends. You open it and the journey begins. This is practically impossible with a movie. I don't mean that somebody cannot transfer a tablet everywhere. I mean that it is not convenient to watch a video EVERYWHERE and that the pleasure of watching depends on the circumstances of where you are. Though, you can read in the metro, on a tree, without spending money, even in an igloo on the north pole without electricity.
I cannot believe that there are still people who ask the question '' Why to read the book when you can watch the movie?''. The answer is quite simple. ''Because a book is a movie in your hands. A movie you watch by the help of the the author. So the question is: Why to watch the movie when you can read the book?".
